    man Peep Paum

    Co-Founder & CEO

Technology evangelist and blockchain enthusiast for quite some time now. I believe that cryptocurrencies will dramatically change the way we use and spend money today. I have been lucky enough to have participated in various technology projects for almost ten years and provided dozens of mobile apps having very user-friendly UX and UI-s. I was one of the original co-founders in the virtual administrator startup called Indoor.Ninja, which has lately raised a significant investment from KONE, one of the leading elevator companies in the world.

    man Tauno Poks

    Co-Founder & CTO

Interested in the latest technology and everything that is related to web. That is the main reason why I studied Multimedia at University of Tallinn and have worked as a full-stack developer for the last 10 years. Based on the recent technology trends I believe that decentralised economy is the field to invest my time in to build a platform that will change the world of crypto-economy and the world itself of course.

    man Sven Kauber

    Co-Founder & senior backend/blockchain developer

I have a bachelors’ degree in computer science from University of Turku. Being eager to understand and apply the latest and greatest technologies, I have managed servers and used cloud-based services and various web development stacks for the last 10 years. After specialising in information systems for event registration and content management, I have worked with some major companies like Freeman, Visa and Qualcomm. My backend development experience includes the development of APIs for mobile apps.

    man Silver Liiv

    Co-Founder & frontend developer

I have been building great web experiences since 2008, worked with CEOs, executives and solopreneurs to grow their professional brands. In my development work I value three things the most: quality over quantity, self-improvement and embracing the new technologies. As a self-taught developer I have grown fond of the cryptocurrency world and its surrounding technologies – blockchain and smart contracts, just to mention the least – and that is where my journey will continue.

    man Marina Baslina

    CMO

Marketing is my passion. Being a startup enthusiast, I focused my professional interest towards the software market and digital marketing. Advantages

The project represents a decentralized platform by which you can fund ICO from anywhere in the world. It's interesting enough idea that allows financing any project decentralized, independently of intermediaries and without commissions.

    Risks and disadvantages

Although the project's team states that this is the only solution of its kind, it must be said that there are a lot of such projects and all of them are built on blockchain technology that means this sector is highly competitive. And besides, the project doesn't say a word about the legal regulation of ICO financing, and now it's the number one issue in all countries with developed economies.

    Comments

I'm not sure that this project has a future and an opportunity for rapid development. Many aspects that ICO funding faces in real life are overlooked. Due attention isn't paid to the security system and fraud prevention, that presented in this market in large quantities.

    Advantages

The project give an opportunity for startups to attract financing and protect investors from fraud of ICO-projects. The founders have experience in various technology projects, also there are many blockchain experts and advisers, it increases the competence of the team. Also there is a detailed whitepaper and a good website where investors can learn the idea and strategy of the project.

    Risks and disadvantages

There are not enough marketers team, so traffic statistics show a decrease in interest in the project. The project does not have a beta version yet, and there is also no transparent budget distribution scheme, it can reduce the number of investors.

    Comments

Providing startups the opportunity to reduce the risk of failure and reduce costs is a promising business idea. The number of ICO projects is growing every day, so it's hard to find the best one. If the team does a good job and ensures safety, the project will become popular and quickly pay off.

In general, the idea of the CrowdCoinage project is relevant, but not new - platforms for crowdfunding have appeared with enviable constancy.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is an ICO?

An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is like an IPO (Initial Public Offering), but it will be organized in the cryptocurrency economy. During an IPO in the traditional economy, a number of shares will be made available on a public stock exchange in some country. An ICO is the process of allowing anyone from anywhere in the world to buy the company’s tokens. These tokens can be like shares and tradable on cryptocurrency exchanges, but also may have some predetermined unique properties based on their related smart contracts.

Why Ethereum’s blockchain is being used for the ICO?

Of all the blockchains that allow apps to be developed based on smart contracts, Ethereum’s usage has been steadily on the rise and it is the most popular of them all. Ethereum also has the most widely supported token standard, ERC20, which has been accepted by most of the exchange platforms.

ERC20 tokens are also a perfect match with our OS. These tokens are highly configurable by smart contracts. Both tokens and smart contracts will be the central part of the service that we will be offering.

    What is the ERC20 standard?

The token itself is of a minor practical use and would not hold its value for long if it does not have any functionality required to interact with other applications or other tokens via the Ethereum blockchain. The methods that need to be implemented are for example related to transfers, a total supply and a balance on an address. The standard was developed to ensure that these basic interaction methods would be duly implemented. The advantage of Ethereum is that all well-known exchanges are accepting these types of tokens allowing the support for custom tokens to be implemented in our OS.

Why a token contract is needed on Ethereum?

A token contract is basically a map of Ethereum account addresses and their balances. The balance can be called token. The contract describes the logic needed to ensure that the balances always match the actions that have been completed by token owners. The methods include for example querying the total number of tokens or defining how to send tokens from one address to another.

How does CrowdCoinage generate value for investors?

The support for innovative smart contracts allows ICO campaign initiators to set up clear steps for their project that would lower the amount of risk perceived by investors. The raised funds will not be released for the upcoming step until investors decide that founders have performed well enough and matched the requirements for the next step. The control of the raised funds will remain with investors. This will be a clear motivator for founders to do their best and along with their success the value of the start-up’s own tokens will grow.

How do you ensure the safety of contributions by investors?

CrowdCoinage does not store any private keys related to investors’ addresses while their contributions are being made. Only investors’ public addresses will be required to check balances. This ensures that investors’ funds cannot be stolen.

Does CrowdCoinage accept any other cryptocurrencies besides Ether?

CrowdCoinage will only accept ETH. Later on, when any founder group can launch their ICO campaign by using our OS, we also accept our own CCOS as a payment option.
