Mr. Conroy is the inventor of the Qortex TeleCare System and Daily Companion applications. Tom has more than thirty-five years experience in the high technology governmental and commercial business arenas. Mr. Conroy served as a senior military officer for the Office of Special Projects/National Reconnaissance Office of the CIA where he developed state-of-the-art systems for the classified national defense space program. Upon retiring from the service, he continued using his expertise in the motion picture industry where he designed and implemented complex video matrix-based networks and graphic elements for numerous feature film productions. He was also the CEO of a new cosmetic line of products having reinvented nail polish chemistry to eliminate products harmful to pregnant women. Today, Tom continues to consult for several organizations including a major Army project for the Institute of Creative Technologies and on the digital production development project for USC’s Entertainment Technology Center, and governmental intelligence agencies.
Barry Zeman F.A.C.H.E is an experienced chief executive, consultant, and senior advisor. He is a Founding Partner & Vice Chairman of Assurance Health System, and recently Head of C-Level Consulting for Specialty Healthcare Advisers LLC (SHA) a division of Musculoskeletal Clinical Regulatory Advisers. Mr. Zeman has spent twenty-five years in CEO positions: turning around, leading, and growing Staten Island University Hospital, St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center and Parker Jewish Institute, as well as developing U.S. Business Development Corporation, a healthcare consulting firm. He has also worked with major pharmaceutical companies, medical centers, mental health organizations, physician groups, medical device incubators, healthcare startups, hospital associations, financial service firms and other consultants.
Mr. Madani is a proven innovator having developed complex and delivered strategic software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. His previous efforts included major clientele such as SpaceX, Bank of America, America Fund, Mercury Insurance, The Capital Group, Genea Energy, and Pfizer. He has been a keynote speaker for numerous Microsoft software introductions. Reza is responsible for the system architecture of the Qortex TeleCare System and its associated Daily
Mr. Verruto brings significant high-level management and public company experience to MedSign. Formerly Chief Executive and Chairman of DataStream Global Communications, an international long distance telecommunications provider with operations in North America, South America, Europe and the Middle East. Mr. Verruto built the company from a start-up in 1996 to a $40 million revenue-run rate by 1999. Under his leadership, DataStream raised more than $20 million in capital and became a publicly traded company. Phil also served as president of ICT Response, a division of the ICT Group, Inc. and was formerly vice president of sales for Decision Data Computer Corporation and Standard & Poor’s.
Mr. Herzog has been in the financial industry for 50+ years. From Wall Street to venture capital, Mr. Herzog has raised millions of dollars for businesses and controlled billions on global commodities and government securities markets. Mr. Herzog became a Registered Representative in 1965 and went on to become a partner in a New York Stock Exchange brokerage firm managing sales teams as well as generating new business for the investment banking department. Later, Mr. Herzog went on to start his own money management firm managing more than $12B in futures, equities and government securities markets. Mr. Herzog did a number of firsts in the financial industry including the first market maker in options on the American Stock Exchange as well as creating the first non-mortgage back-securitized debt (Carpacks). Mr. Herzog also has extensive experience in the startup world. Mr. Herzog has been an officer/director of over 30 companies across a number of industries.
Mr. Weiss is a finance and legal executive with over 25 years experience at mid-market entrepreneurial companies. He is the President, Cofounder and Chief Financial Officer of TBT Group, Inc., a manufacturer of piezoelectric materials for sonar and food testing applications. He was also an Executive Vice President and General Counsel and a member of the Executive Committee at Active International, a media company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Weiss worked as an associate at the New York law firms of Davis Polk & Wardwell and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He also worked as an accountant and tax specialist at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC). Mr. Weiss earned a BS magna cum laude from New York University, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a JD from Duke Law School.
Larry Westfall is currently engaged with strategies & services to implement value-based care with a focus on clinical decision support at the point of care and models of care utilizing innovative medication management to optimize clinical and economic outcomes. He was previously Director, Healthcare Quality Alliances for the Strategic Customer Group within Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems. He was part of a team responsible for developing an understanding across Janssen Pharmaceuticals Companies of Johnson & Johnson of the changing dynamics within the US healthcare system and working across the organization to develop strategies to align company offerings with the needs of current and evolving healthcare delivery and payment models.
Prior to this role, Larry held positions within J&J of the National Director, Strategic Alliances in the Health, Policy, Advocacy & Quality division and the Director, Quality Management for the Johnson & Johnson Institutional Franchise where Larry was responsible for providing franchise-specific strategic quality planning & perspective on current health system practices and future healthcare environment strategies. During his tenure in this position, Larry was appointed and served as a Member of the National Quality Forum Care Coordination Workgroup. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson in 2005, Larry held a variety of leadership positions with Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Larry received his BS in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Maryland and prior to his career in the pharmaceutical industry held several senior management pharmacy positions in the hospital, home care, and long term care segments. In addition, Larry has held faculty appointments at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and George Washington University School of Medicine where he taught geriatric pharmacotherapy.
Robert Perez is the Vice President of Sales and has twenty-five years of experience in the home healthcare management business. He has touched all aspects of healthcare services through corporations, employees, unions and insurance companies. He developed and implemented an IPA network in excess of 1,200 physicians in five states, with revenues exceeding $70 million annually. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Fresenius Medical Care in San Diego, Mr. Perez managed the national sales team in the bio-medical / extracorporeal health care field. He was responsible for all aspects of sales team development. He created a sales growth oriented environment building an innovative culture, creating and articulating a vision by embracing diversity and change. The results were a 20% growth for the company under his leadership.
Mr. Perez has serviced over 1100 senior clients in their homes under the Home Instead Senior Care banner. He is responsible for the oversight of daily operations including marketing, recruiting, training and staffing of more than 1200 caregivers for the home. Most recently, he has contracted with the Veterans Administration, Aging and Independence, Parkinson’s Association, and over twenty-five long-term care insurance companies.
