Axel translates scientific discoveries into practical applications to help understand, diagnose & treat complex disorders, but also to promote cutting-edge technologies that could transform precision medicine and the way we age. Axel is also a Member of the Blockchain Research Institute in Toronto. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Cologne.

A member of the Forbes Technology Council, Sally is an accomplished author with regular contributions to leading business, technology, and academic publications. She is an international keynote speaker and respected online influencer across multiple social media channels and consistently rated in the top 10 for blockchain and social media influence worldwide.

Henry is a global executive with extensive venture capital, cross-border advisory, corporate finance and entrepreneur experiences. As an investor, he focuses on FinTech / blockchain and frontier technology investments and ventures based on his collective VC experiences to date as a partner at DraperDragon Fund, DFJ Dragon Fund, and DragonVenture, Inc. Henry is also an advisor to multiple blockchain / ICOs and tech startups in Silicon Valley; and also continues to serve as a mentor for accelerators & incubators worldwide. Additionally, Henry oversees the Global Chamber® San Francisco, a member organization focused on cross-border trade and investment opportunities, and also routinely lectures at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Henry began his career at Price Waterhouse LLP as a management consultant for Fortune 500 companies. Later, he focused on sell-side M&A and other corporate finance transactions within the IT and consumer & industrial product sectors before transitioning to direct investments. Akash is a blockchain entrepreneur. He founded India’s first blockchain company, Auxesis Group during his undergraduate studies at IIT Bombay. Auxesis today is counted among The Top 100 Most Influential Blockchain Company in the World. Akash also founded Blockchain Lab, India and is on the advisory board of hot Blockchain startup Cashaa, a zero fee money remittance company . He also sits on an advisory board to Entrepreneurship Club of MISB Bocconi. Before founding Auxesis, Akash was the manager of The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay which is India’s largest entrepreneurship promoting club. As a manager, he led a team of 120 volunteers to organize global level entrepreneurship programs and summits. He was also a core group member of Innovation Cell, IIT Bombay where the team successfully proposed a new model for India’s first self-driving car.
David Drake, through his family office LDJ Capital, has acted as GP and LP investor with his partners in fund-of-funds, realty funds, venture capital funds, and hedge funds. Describe the need and problem you are trying to solve?
To make the direct-to-consumer genomics business more open, fair, and beneficial to all users, the Shivom platform uses blockchain technology to create a disruptive genomics ecosystem. It ensures data is owned by the data donors themselves. It ensures a transparent and secure bridge to organizations interested in using that data.
Why your idea is revolutionary?
We have an entirely global vision, with the goal of integrating multiple services into one interconnected ecosystem. We aim to leverage collaboration and partnerships to make this happen in an open and transparent way, truly utilizing the complete set of benefits that blockchain technology has to offer. While this is a grand vision, it’s not entirely out of reach, and we have put together a business plan and team that’s capable of executing this on a global scale.
What is the revenue and monetization model?
Shivom will earn revenue through pharma companies who want to use the data to support their drug development programs. Additionally, consumers who want answers based on their uploaded DNA sequences will use the platform to purchase various health care apps for a nominal fee. Eventually, consumers will be able to order Shivom sequencing kits directly via the platform. All this can be done via the utility of the OmiX token.
What is a token? What do I need it for?
A token is a voucher that can be exchanged for goods or services. In the case of OmiX tokens, they are utility tokens that can be exchanged for goods and services in the Shivom ecosystem/platform.
Do OmiX tokens meet ERC20 standard? Can they be withdrawn to a third-party ETH wallet?
Yes, OmiX tokens comply with ERC20.
Will OmiX tokens be mined?
No. All OmiX which will ever exist will be created with a ‘genesis’ transaction, meaning that the total supply of OmiX tokens will always stay the same and you cannot “mine” OmiX. The total supply of OmiX is 3.3 billion or 3 300 000 000 tokens.
How you will collect DNA data?
Donors will be able to upload their data sets from other third party websites like 23andme or Ancestry.com, and others, by uploading the data file to the SHIVOM platform. There is no cost to do this. Eventually, users will be able to order a DNA kit from SHIVOM directly. This way, donors will be able to provide their DNA sample and it will be sequenced at ours or a partner lab, and then uploaded to a platform.
At what stage is your product?
PoC product will be launching in the next few weeks. This will be iteratively modified and improved based on user feedback. Our goal is to provide the best product for our users needs.
Why do you need a crowdsale? What will the money you raise will be spent on?
An ICO is required in order to distribute OmiX tokens. OmiX tokens will be the useable cryptocurrency of the Shivom platform, and has a number of use cases within the platform. The money raised will be primarily spent on sequencing campaigns to generate data for the platform and for pharma and research customers, for opening up sequencing centres, and for business development in order to build partnerships with key stakeholders who will help the platform grow and expand. Do you have a minimum cap of the funds raised? What would be if you fail to raise them?
The minimum 10 000 ETH. The first part of the project has already been initiated and the next stage of development will take place with our newly raised funds. This will increase the value in the platform and allow room for more future investment to continue with subsequent milestones.
Do you have a hard cap of the funds raised?
The hard cap is set at 75 000 ETH.
Where do I buy cryptocurrency?
There are a number of platforms such as Coinbase or similar, which are the easiest way to buy cryptocurrency. After verifying your account, you can add a number of payment methods including credit or debit cards, U.S. bank accounts, or wire transfers of funds.
How can I pay to invest in the crowdsale? How long does the payment take?
Payments can be made with Ether and Bitcoin. The funds are credited to your personal account on the Shivom platform, from which you will receive tokens through the token launch.
What are your fees and charges?
We do not charge transaction fees. But 3rd parties may charge a fee for transferring out the funds. Transaction fee is charged by the relevant blockchain's infrastructure based on the amount of transfer.
How and where do I store my tokens?
Tokens will be stored in a digital wallet within the Shivom platform.
What value does the token have?
The token has value associated with its utility in the platform. As our platform grows its utility will increase, and this will be exponential due to network effects. We cannot comment on the price in a month, or a year, but we expect that it will increase due to increase in usability and functionality of the platform.
